Call for Stories, Poetry, and Songs about Kindness and Compassion

Blue Barn Farm & Sanctuary is hosting a Kindness Variety Show at Drop Bear Brewery on September 26th. The goal of the event is to raise funds to support our animals and plant seeds of kindness in our community.

***If you’re a local writer/performer and would like to apply for a possible spot on our roster of performers, here’s what you need to know:

Poems, short stories, and songs that focus on kindness, compassion, empathy, and joy
****should be submitted by email to Blue Barn volunteer Leigh Anne Jasheway (lajfun@accidentalcomic.com) by July 1 to be considered.****

• Each piece should last no more than 6 minutes.

• You must be available on the date to perform your piece.

• The venue has a small stage area with a single microphone. If you are a musician and require more audio support, please reach out beforehand to confirm what works best for you.

Participants will be finalized and confirmed by July 8th, but we will reach out to everyone who applied. Everyone who performs will receive a comp ticket for the night’s entertainment, as well as recognition in our social media publicity.
